It is generally accepted that when people
spend much of time enjoying on their diversity festivals, most of them tend to
do not consider inherent values. Moreover, those who neglect these meanings regard
festivals as their leisure time. In spite of common belief, some people argue
that most people still are maintaining its meaning where is in the festival. I
agree with the former opinion.
On the one hand, some people believe that there
are a number of people to remember the original meaning of festivals. First of
all, most of schools have educated in terms of festivals’ meaning such as Christmas
and the National holiday. That is, through these educations children could
remember its meaning as well as preserve it. Second of all, there are a lot of
opportunities to know about festivals’ messages. To illustrate this, during the
Canada Day, the City and most of the public organizations provide the citizen with
to experience means directly or indirectly.
On the other hand, some people argue that
there is no longer remember festivals’ value in modern society. That is, Compare
with the past, the fast pace and lack of people’s leisure time in our society
have negative effects on preserving festivals’ meaning. For example, as a friend
of mine cannot afford to spend his spare time on festivals, he should take rest
or spend his time for himself. In addition, with the advent of globalization, those
who come from diversity countries have different ideas in terms of festivals
according to their value and identity. For instance, there are several Christianity
festivals in Canada such as Christmas and Ester Day, however those who have
other religion no matter these Christian’s meanings.
In conclusion, as mentioned earlier, although
people hope to celebrate festivals by respecting their meanings, it is no deny
that most of them spend their time in festivals for themselves. One more keep
in mind is that we have obligation to preserve festivals’ value and meaning. |
