▶ Your Answer :
As the world has become globalized, we often hear and see about people on the other side of world. Regarding this, I agree the fact that those who live in poor countries can be happier than others in advanced nations.
To begin with, sometimes television stations broadcast programs about people's lives in less developed nations. Although grass-roofed houses and limited items are all that they can enjoy in their lifetime, they seem to be satisfied with what they have. The major reason of this trend is that they are less likely to be exposed to external influences such as newspapers or televisions. Therefore, it would help them get rid of relative deprivation that gives many people different emotions by comparing to others. In addition, individuals living in impoverishment simply tend to pay attention to daily bread because it is the most essential factor on their daily lives. Namely, simplicity could make them much thankful, which leads to their life with satisfaction.
While citizens in advanced countries are more likely to enjoy many materials, which includes food and entertainment, they are less satisfied with these valuable items. That is one of the human natures. Besides, with the development of technology, people listen to how others lives. It often encourages them to acquire better products or lifestyles as they compare to others' ones. In addition, hectic schedules for people in rich nations can be another reason to lead to them unfortunate. It is obviously true that they are busy with their career, studies or family on their daily lives. Thus, these circumstances put a lot of pressure on them, and they are exhausted with daily routines.
In conclusion, for the reasons mentioned above, I would believe that individuals living in poor countries are happier and satisfied their lives than people in rich nations. |
